It may seem that a lot is happening in all three parishes lately and it can sometimes be overwhelming. However, it also great to hear that there are going to be opportunities to learn about the Catholic faith and growing deeper in our relationship with God. We are hoping to begin adult formation at Saint Mary's (or Saint Josephs) and Saint Charles. One of the good problems we when planning an adult formation class is that there are so many programs out there. I travelled to so many parishes throughout our diocese and saw many programs offered. Some of the programs that are offered throughout the parishes in our diocese include "Pint with the Priest," "Theology on Tap," "Bible and a Bonfire," men's group, women's group, mother's group, and the list can continue on! There are two programs that I thought were interesting is for the men:
That Man is You!That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive!
She Shall be Called Woman:a journey crafted to meet the deepest longings of the feminine heart. This program can serve as a sanctuary for women, providing vibrant conversations, inspiring speakers, and enriching prayer experiences that will deepen their relationship with the Lord.
These are two programs that we are currently looking at and we hope that we may continue to offer more and different programs in the coming years! I heard so many great things on how many men and women grew in their faith and friendship in these programs! I may bring some men and women to our parishes to speak on certain programs and how it changed their lives and how they see the Catholic Faith and God in a new way!
